On Saturday at University Main Oval, our Melbourne University 1st XI fell to Footscray 1st XI.
In terms of totals, it was Melbourne University 1st XI 302 and Footscray 1st XI 3/305. Fergus McKenna's 133 off 198 balls was a century to savour. Douglas Warren contributed 45 off 95 balls. Six wickets for Ben Roosenboom of the visitors, who returned six for 74.
Warren bowled nicely to finish with two for 59. Credit to Dylan Brasher, who made a century (124) for our opponents. Dylan Kight made a good 88 not out for the visitors, a well-deserved half-century.
