Good news from our Melbourne University 1st XI, who emerged victorious against Greenvale Kangaroos 1st XI at University Main Oval.
We posted 4/312, while Greenvale Kangaroos 1st XI made 9/310. Dhruv Poojari Redhu posted a stylish hundred, making 150 off 173 balls. Fergus McKenna's 57 off 85 balls was a half-century to remember.
Yuvraj Singh was the pick of the bowlers, taking three for 79 off 23 overs. Douglas Warren also took two for 37. Kobe Herft posted 96 for the visitors, a good fifty.
A well-deserved victory for the boys. A first win of the season, and hopefully the first of many.
A cracking effort from the side.
