On Saturday, our Melbourne University 1st XI went under to Prahran 1st XI in a tough outing.
Prahran 1st XI's innings ended at 10/375, ours at 316. Fergus McKenna led the way with a great hundred, finishing on 139 off 172 balls. Jack Lyndon posted a half-century, making 64 off 101 balls with six fours and one six. Jacob Whiteaker chipped in with 30. Credit to Shenuka De Silva, who claimed a six-wicket haul (six for 118) for our opponents.
Douglas Warren starred with the ball, taking four for 36. Hats off to Cameron Hemp, whose 127 was a stylish century for the visitors.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one. The side will be keen to bounce back.
