At University Main Oval, our Melbourne University 1st XI knocked over Ringwood 1st XI thanks to Fergus McKenna's 54.
First up, Ringwood 1st XI made 8/164 from 50 overs. Jackson Freeman led the way for our opponents with 34 off 51 balls. Peter Hatzoglou was the pick of the bowlers, taking two for 26 off ten overs. Tom Walker offered good support with two for 30.
In reply, the team reached the target at 6/165 in 36.3 overs. Fergus McKenna posted a half-century, making 54 off 67 balls with four fours and two sixes. Yuvraj Singh also got among the runs with 33 off 27 balls. Justin Beaton bowled well for the visitors, taking three for 29.
