It was a day to forget for our Melbourne University (2), who were unable to stop Melton Senior Women One Day on a frustrating day.
The side batted first and reached 1/225 from 40 overs. Reet Dhillon posted a half-century, making 67 off 90 balls with eleven fours. Zara Ford made an excellent 65 not out off 120 balls, a well-made fifty. Jyotsna Koduru passed fifty on the way to 55 not out off 35 balls with ten fours and one six.
In reply, Melton Senior Women One Day passed our total, finishing on 1/226 in 38.3 overs. Credit to Amy HIBBERT, who made a half-century (80) for our opponents. Liz Trakosas passed fifty for the hosts, finishing with 65 not out.
A tough day at the office, but one to learn from.
