At University Main Oval, our Melbourne University 2nd XI were unable to get the better of Fitzroy Doncaster 2nd XI in a tough outing.
First up, we made 10/136 from 39.1 overs. Elliott Durrant played a polished hand of 35 off 63 balls. Michael Forwood chipped in with 33. Fitzroy Doncaster 2nd XI's best with the ball was Gurnaz Khatra (four for 30).
Our opponents knocked off the runs, finishing on 3/138 in 28.4 overs. Matthew Bremner passed fifty for the visitors, finishing with 55 not out.
Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
