Despite some good moments, our Melbourne University 2nd XI were unable to get the better of Footscray 2nd XI on a frustrating day.
Our totals were 10/281, against Footscray 2nd XI's 8/327. A century to Michael Forwood, who made 101 off 154 balls with thirteen fours and one six. Yuvraj Singh's 55 off 47 balls was a half-century to remember. Umair Butt was the best of the hosts' bowlers, finishing with four for 60. Blake Aggelis picked up three for 29 for our opponents.
Our best with the ball was Om Patel, who took three for 70. James Browning bowled well for two for 97. The hosts' Max Hatzoglou made a good 115 not out.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one. We will be looking to get back in the winning column soon.
Congratulations to our opponents on the win.
