It was smiles all round as our Melbourne University 3rd XI took care of Northcote 3rd XI to make it five wins in a row.
In terms of totals, it was Melbourne University 3rd XI 10/101 and 6/235 and Northcote 3rd XI 3/114 and 10/92. Hugo Bienvenu brought up a good half-century, finishing with 67 off 98 balls. Solid support came from Ali Khan, who made 49. Elliott Durrant provided good support with 36. Five wickets for Zac Mills of our opponents, who returned five for 34.
Seven wickets for Alex Ingpen, who returned seven for 41 off seven overs. Credit to Ben Pereara, who made 48 for the hosts. Thomas Cuthbert chipped in with 30 for our opponents.
The work with the ball set up the win.
Well done, team.
