It was smiles all round as our Melbourne University 3rd XI were too good for Ringwood 3rd XI at Princes Park - Turf Oval 3.
Ringwood 3rd XI batted first and were all out for 135 in 43.2 overs. For the visitors, Jarryd Cameron made 40 off 53 balls. Our best with the ball was Jacob Stevenson, who took four for 14. Harshit Takkar finished with two for 12.
In reply, the side reached the target at 10/215 in 42.2 overs. Fifty for Leo Hatzoglou, who finished with 69 off 58 balls. Connor Hastings's 67 off 108 balls was a half-century to remember. Isaac Macklin was the best of our opponents' bowlers, finishing with three for 14.
A well-deserved victory for the team.
Great work, everyone.
