In Kookaburra Men's Premier action, our Melbourne University 4th XI were bettered by Greenvale Kangaroos 4th XI with lessons to take away.
In terms of totals, it was Melbourne University 4th XI 10/212 and Greenvale Kangaroos 4th XI 10/313 and 5/98. Torren Arthur brought up a quality half-century, finishing with 64 off 97 balls. Hugh Lynch brought up a polished half-century, finishing with 52 off 52 balls. Shaunak Kalra bowled impressively for the hosts, a five-wicket haul of five for 6.
With the ball, Thomas Young did the damage, claiming four for 22 off six overs. There were also wickets for Ranjodh Singh Smagh (two for 28). Rithvik Rao made a classy 83 for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century.
Credit to the hosts, who played well. The boys will be keen to turn things around after two straight losses. Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
