At Princes Park - Turf Oval 3, our Melbourne University Over 40 1st XI chalked up a victory over South East Over 40 1st XI by just two wickets.
South East Over 40 1st XI batted first and put 9/153 on the board from 36 overs. For the visitors, Richard Harford made 44 off 59 balls. Stewart Harris was the pick of the bowlers, taking four for 28 off six overs.
In reply, the group reached the target at 7/154 in 32.4 overs. Matt Amor's 42 off 45 balls was the highlight with the bat. There were also handy runs from Patrick O'Beirne (33).
It went right down to the wire, but the team got the job done. Congratulations to the side on a brilliant result.
