It was a tough day out for our Melbourne University 1st XI, who had to give best to Northcote 1st XI in a disappointing result.
Northcote 1st XI's innings ended at 8/181 and 9/76, ours at 112 and 210. Fergus McKenna posted a half-century, making 50 off 103 balls with six fours. Jacob Whiteaker added a useful 41 off 58 balls. Jackson Smith bowled beautifully for our opponents, a six-wicket haul of six for 33.
Douglas Warren was the pick of the bowlers, taking four for 32 off seventeen overs. Will Blair was the top scorer for the hosts with 41.
Credit to our opponents, who played well.
On to the next one.
