The Melbourne University 2nd XI were bettered by St Kilda 2nd XI in a tough outing.
With the bat, we made 10/257; St Kilda 2nd XI made 10/326. Michael Forwood brought up a great century, finishing with 116 off 152 balls. Hugo Bienvenu played a handy knock of 45. Our opponents' James Gray was the standout with the ball, taking five for 80.
James Browning bowled impressively for a five-wicket haul, five for 98 off 22 overs. Henry Gray posted 94 for the hosts, a quality fifty. Credit to Ashish Ashish, who made a half-century (74) for our opponents.
Plenty to take out of this one. The team will be keen to bounce back.
