There was no joy for our Melbourne University (2), who came up short against La Trobe University Flamewings in CV Womens Community Cricket Competition.
Batting first, we posted 83 from 16.2 overs. Reet Dhillon's 17 off 17 balls was the highlight with the bat.
La Trobe University Flamewings reached the target at 1/84 in 9.4 overs. Credit to Avanthi Jayawickrema, who made 29 for the hosts.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again.
It's four defeats on the trot, and the group will be eager to bounce back. Chins up, everyone.
