In CV Womens Community Cricket Competition, our Melbourne University (2) were beaten by Edinburgh Senior Women First XI on a day to learn from.
First up, Edinburgh Senior Women First XI made 4/220 from 36 overs. A century to Abbey Mayers for the visitors: 100 not out.
Needing 221 to win, we finished on 6/136 from 36 overs. My Yen Au's 58 not out off 99 balls was a half-century to remember. Ellla Worthington did the damage for our opponents with three for 28.
Credit to the visitors, who played well. We will be looking to get back in the winning column soon.
Well played to our opponents.
