In Kookaburra Men's Premier, our Melbourne University 3rd XI went under to Northcote 3rd XI despite Ali Khan's 67.
After batting first, we finished on 10/177 from 40.5 overs. Ali Khan's 67 off 84 balls was a half-century to remember. Gavinu Devpura provided good support with 26. Northcote 3rd XI's best with the ball was Andy Ryan (four for 33).
In reply, the hosts passed our total, finishing on 3/178 in 34.5 overs. Thomas Cuthbert passed fifty for our opponents, finishing with 65. Nathaniel Reichman weighed in with 48 for the hosts. Fletcher Good was the pick of the bowlers, taking two for 44 off eight overs.
Credit to our opponents, who played well.
